Upcoming Trips

Archer's Post, Spring, 2010. A generous benefactor has donated a playground (yes, a complete playground: swings, slides, monkey bars, the works) for the pre-school in Archer's Post. A Covenant Children, Inc. team of about 15 volunteers will meet the ship on arrival in Mombasa and shepherd it through customs, onto the truck needed to carry it to Archer's Post and then to assemble it on site. The team will spend mornings setting the posts and erecting the equipment, while devoting the afternoons to renovating the crumbling schoolroom.

St. Paul's Orphanage, Fall, 2010. Covenant Children, Inc. will lead a group to Rongai, Kenya and, depending on funding, work on rebuilding the dorms at St. Paul's Orphanage, our original initiative in Africa. Below are some photos of the dorms as they now appear, sleeping 2 or three children to a bed in corrugated metal buildings:

Republic of South Africa, 2010: Greenpoint and Homevale, Fall, 2010. Avoiding the crowds and elevated cost of travel surrounding the World Cup in Johannesburg, Instruments of Change� will be conducting music academies and outreach programs in these two communities in the Fall. Tentative plans are underway to expand these initiatives to the Cape Town area where our 2009 team made significant inroads and contacts.
